Internships
Washington, DC
My Washington, DC office and Lynchburg District Office offer internship opportunities for students each semester. Each internship is a paid opportunity and runs throughout the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters for college students.
Responsibilities will typically include:
- Answering phone calls for our constituents;
- Researching legislation for the Member and legislative staff;
- Attending hearings and briefings;
- Answering constituent letters on various issues before the House;
- Guiding Capitol tours;
- Writing letters, and assisting with office management;
- and other duties.
Interns will learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a Congressional Office.
The internship sessions are as follows:
Fall Session: Mid-August to mid-December ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS NOW
Spring Session: Early January to early May
Summer Session: Mid-May to Mid-August
